Portrait of a cityscape – Album 2020

On the end gable of the old sailmaker’s workshop Toldbodvej no. 6 in Vejle, Denmark we have placed our artwort “Portrait of a cityscape” – a story about an urban environment. It is an abstract portrait of a city with connections, opposites, structures, lines, etc.
The anchored place can be seen as an abstract topographical section with a kind of center from which something springs, grows and branches. In several places there are layers of different structures, which gives a description of the surface e.g. in terms of terrain and buildings.
The work consists of materials we have mainly reused such as wooden battens, wooden boards, fluorescent tubes and acrylic paint.
